Instructions to follow for your ULTIMATE TAN EXPERIENCE
Night before your tan
Skin should be well exfoliated & moisturized the night/day before your spray tan application. It's best to use an exfoliating glove on your body. Focus on dry areas such as knees/elbows/hands/feet. Please use a clear/transparent gel soap. (avoid dove or opaque milky looking products - no bar soap). If you're uncertain, we sell exfoliators, gloves, body wash/lotions that are perfect to use before and after your spray tan.
Day of tan
Please shower 2-4 hours before appointment to remove any body lotion, moisturizer, sweat, perfume, deodorant & makeup.
All of the above mentioned can create a barrier between your skin and the tanning solution, resulting in a blotchy, greenish or uneven tan.
This is more of a rinse. Do not use bar soap of any kind or any oily products as they leave a layer on your skin
What to wear
We want you to feel as comfortable as possible during your spray tan session. Some options: bikini, bathing suit, just bottoms, just tops, old bra or just get naked.
Please keep in mind the tan lines you want or don't want to be seen. Basically, whatever skin I see , I spray:) *Your appointment will be about 15-20 minutes total.
What to bring
Immediately following your spray tan, wear loose, dark clothing. Do not wear leggings, fitted tanks, half shirts, shorts or sweat pants that are bunchy or stretchy up top. If you are wearing a zip up, have a t-shirt to wear under. A button down flannel, loose sweatshirt or cotton shirt works great. Bring flip flops as boots, socks and sneakers may rub off the tan solution.

Consult is 7-10 minutes and the whole session will be 25-30 minutes total.
On average 5-10 days. Depending on the skin type, prep and post care. Each client will be evaluated at first visit to customize color perfectly.
Following proper pre/post care will help keep your tan on longer. Always remember to quickly rinse, no scrubbing. Patting dry after each shower and always moisturizing.
Please note, everyone's skin is different and absorbs the solution differently. Pictures on website are real clients, but only for display. Pictures do not advertise certain solution colors.
Stay away from oil and bar soap! Plain shower gel wash is perfect when washing. Anything with sulfate in it will remove your tan and make it look splotchy. Avoid soap prior to appointment and post care.
Yes, you can still burn from the sun. Airbrush tanning does not protect your skin from the sun. Sunscreen is a must! For better results, stick to oil free sunscreen.
Anytime. As long as you have no old spray tan build up on your skin. Not exfoliating properly can change the color of the tan along with looking dirty in areas from the built up.
Airbrush tanning is a safe alternative to indoor and outdoor tanning and is recommended by the Skin Cancer Foundation. The American Academy of Dermatology, The American Cancer Society and the Medical Association. DHA (Dihydroxyacetone)- is often derived by plant sources such as sugar beets and sugar cane and by the fermentation of glycerin, which is commonly used in cosmetics. DHA reacts with the skin's amino acids.
Whatever time your Glow Tech sets as your initial rinse, here's what you'll do:
Take a cool/warm rinse shower.
Do not wash your hair, no soaps or shower gels, no shaving, no scrubbing.
This rinse is intended to remove the excess solution from your skin. It may appear that your tan is all being washed down the drain. Don't panic!
This is part of the setting and developing process. You may look slightly paler after the shower. Again, this is perfectly normal. Where it can take up to 12 hours to set, a spray tan can take up to 24 hours to fully develop. Trust the process, you will be tan!

When drying after a shower, pat your skin dry instead of rubbing.
Tan extenders are good in between spray tans, just to boost the color and put back what sweat, the pool and ocean have taken off.
Shaving is ok for your spray tan after your initial shower. You should use a new sharp razor with conditioner or shower gel in place of shaving cream.
For women, sometimes a tan may develop differently due to certain medications or hormonal changes, such as ovulation, menstruation & pregnancy. The tan can be blotchy, fade poorly or won't develop color.
Booking Policies
Cancellation
If you can't make it to your appointment, please let us know at least 24 hours beforehand to avoid a $20 fee.
With spray tanning, we need time to prepare, so last-minute cancellations make it hard to fill your slot. If something comes up, call us ASAP to see if we can fit you in another time. We're here to help!
No Show
If you miss your appointment without letting us know or responding to our messages, we may cancel it. We wait for 10 minutes after your scheduled time, and if you don't show up, you'll need to reschedule. If there's another appointment after yours, we can try to fit you in. A $40 fee applies for no-shows, and you won't be able to book more appointments until it's paid. We can't make exceptions to this policy as we value both our time and yours.
